Arthur Edward Lewis CMSGT Retired U.S.A.F. , 83, of Janesville died at his home Friday, February 3, 2012. He was born September 9, 1928 in Halls, TN, the son of Ansel and Mittie (Lovelace) Lewis. He married Marianna Vich on August 11, 1952. Arthur served in the U. S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserve for 36 years. He was also employed as a journeyman millwright by Borg-Warner for 33 years. Arthur was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the V.F.W., SGTS  Assoc.  and the Lions.
Surviving are his wife, Marianna, 2 daughters, Claudia P. (William) Houterman, Catherine Mae Lewis, 3 sons, Edward A. (Beth) Lewis, Timothy C. (Cindy) Lewis, Kenneth Scott (Neary) Lewis, 6 grandchildren, Elliott Houterman, Nathan Lewis, Allison Lewis, Jared Lewis, Sierra Syverud and  Chad Wilmarth. He was preceded in death by a daughter who died at birth, Mary, his brother, Harold Lovelace, 2 sisters, Alma McDonald and Flora Sheridan.
Private family funeral services will be held at Henke – Clarson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.  www.henkeclarson.com.
